Meet “Mel”

This was a large litter of 7, with one stillborn. Of the remaining 6, we had 5 boys and just 1 girl.

A great looking litter, with beautiful markings and wonderful, affectionate personalities. They are ALL perfectly playful and curious, friendly and off to a great start…. a really fantastic group of kittens.

🏠 Bringing Home Your Kitten: What to Expect

When your American Shorthair kitten arrives, here’s how to help them settle in:

  1. A Cozy Start
Begin in a safe, kitten-only room—place them in the litter box first, then let them freely explore.
  2. One Room at a Time
Keep them confined when unsupervised for about a week to allow them to bond and feel safe.
  3. Cuddle Often
Regular holding and affection during those first days helps build trust—until they’re purring every time you appear.
  4. Let Them Explore Naturally
Provide safe environments with toys (paper balls, interactive toys) to encourage playful exploration.
  5. Provide Essentials
All they need is love, quality kitten food, fresh water, a clean environment, and regular veterinary check ups.
