Meet Talariah’s Emi Sue
Emi is quirky. Emi is registered with CFA. She is spayed and UTD on all vaccines. She was born and raised in our cattery. We chose to not place Emi when we placed the rest of her litter. At that time she was extremely shy and timid. She is spayed and has never been used in our breeding program. Emi is less timid now, but even still, she is watchful & cautious and often keeps herself at arms length — even with us.
Emi loves back scratches though, so when the house grows quiet, she circles closer and closer until you reach out to give her a good scratch. Then she can’t get enough.
Her perfect home would be a quiet home where she is the only pet. I say this, not because she doesn’t like other pets — she does. But Emi will choose other animals for social input 1st, and she choses humans 2nd. When she is on her own, she is much more connected to her humans. Her family should have a good understanding of cat body language, and be willing to be patient, letting her choose you.
We have chosen to rehome Emi, because she has begun to get picked on by the other queens in our cattery (she now sports a nicked ear from one squabble). Emi will not be the right cat for every family, but we know she will shine in a space where she can truly be queen of the castle.
